If you are having trouble reading this email, view it in your browser. Add newsletter@email.frontline.org to your contacts so you don't miss an email. At FRONTLINE, we produce more than 20 documentaries annually and make them immediately available to stream online in connection with their broadcast premieres on PBS.
We also do something that's unique among news organizations: We publish not just our final work but also dozens of extended text and video interviews with our sources each year.
We do this so that you can explore our source material for yourself, comparing what sources told us with how we presented it in the context of a film, and seeing, firsthand, the choices we've made as editors.
In a time of skepticism towards the news media, this ongoing initiative, which we call the FRONTLINE Transparency Project, aims to build trust by opening up our journalism. We've found that it's also a powerful way to engage more deeply with the issues our documentaries explore. Since 2017, the FRONTLINE Transparency Project has published interviews that have been viewed more than 10 million times.
Because you're a new subscriber to FRONTLINE's newsletter, we wanted to be sure to introduce you to this element of our work. Here's a rundown of select Transparency Project installments you can explore:
Stay tuned for future installments of the FRONTLINE Transparency Project. Thank you for exploring our journalism and what goes into making it.
